I like to think that this isn’t really a religious quote, that the god Rousseau is talking about is Nature and that when man changes things he changes it for his own ends. Everything natural or untampered with is good, even man. It’s good to think people aren’t a naturally evil species we just sort of became this way through trial and error. Haha ok maybe that doesn’t make sense.
But thats just how I see this shit. I am an optimist and like to assume everyone is good people. Okkkkay back to work
